INSIDE THE CAVE

The cave is not lit and is in pitch darkness so please bring a torch or use the light on your phone.  Beware of your footing on the irregular steps leading up to the first steel ladder. Once at the top of the second steel ladder, make sure you have a rope if you intend to go through the small opening. Tether this to your friend so you can find you way back through the same hole from the actual position that Guru Rinpoche meditated. People can get disorientated easily once in the meditation chamber.

AT THE FOOT OF THE STAIRS

Looking at the video, you can see the balls of white consciousness called orbs which is the residue of Guru Rinpoche's time here. I saw the same in the hermitage of Lama Lachen Gomchen Rinpoche at the top of the mountain, north of Lachen. 

ENTERING & LEAVING KADRO SANGPHUG CAVE

You enter the cave from the road and go down the hill. There is a small monastery further down the path from the entrance to the cave and you might get a few small monks coming to see what you are up to.
